01Who we are

Travel Source South Africa (Pty) Ltd ("TSSA", "we", "us") is a Cape Town-based inbound travel company. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us using the details in section 10.

02What we collect

We only collect what we need to plan, quote and deliver your travel. Depending on how you engage with us, this may include:

• Name, email address, WhatsApp / phone number and country of residence;
• Travel window, party size, children's ages, and travel preferences;
• Passport / nationality details, dates of birth, and — where relevant to a booking — dietary, medical or mobility information;
• Emergency contacts, booking history, payment records and correspondence;
• Basic usage data when you browse the site, and the activities you keep or itineraries you build if you create a free account.

03Why we use it

We process your personal information for legitimate travel, booking, administrative, legal, accounting, safety, client-service and — only with your separate consent — marketing purposes. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

04Consent & your free account

When you create a free account, you give explicit, timestamped POPIA consent for us to store your details to plan and quote your travel. Marketing communications are a separate, optional opt-in — you can decline it and still use every feature, and you can withdraw it at any time.

05Who we share it with

To fulfil a booking we share only the necessary information with the suppliers and service providers involved — for example hotels, lodges, transport providers, guides, activity suppliers, airlines, restaurants, attractions, payment processors, accountants, legal advisors, insurers, emergency services and our technology providers. We never share confidential supplier or internal commercial data with you, and we never share your data with parties who are not part of delivering your trip.

06Cross-border transfers

Because inbound travel is international, we may transfer personal information outside South Africa where necessary for your booking — for example to international suppliers, agents, cloud systems or payment platforms. We take reasonable steps to protect your information wherever it is processed.

07How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example accounting and tax records). When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

08Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Request correction of information that is inaccurate or out of date;
• Request deletion of your information where permitted by law;
• Object to processing, and withdraw marketing consent at any time;
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Where you provide information about other travellers, you confirm you have their authority to do so.

09How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or misuse. Access to your data inside our systems is restricted to the people who need it to serve you, and confidential rate and supplier data is never exposed publicly.
